Obituary for Eugenia "Gigi" B. Sarno

BILLERICA – Eugenia “Gigi” B. Sarno, age 70, died Friday at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington after a short illness.

She was born in Cambridge, September 5, 1945 a daughter of the late Thomas H. II and Eugenia B. (Kontrimus) McGrath and lived in Cambridge prior to moving to Billerica in 1973.

Mrs. Sarno was employed by the Town of Billerica as a Class Secretary at the Billerica Memorial High School and was an active member of the Billerica Senior Center.

She is survived by two sons, John Sarno II and his wife Linda of Bedford and Joel Sarno and his wife Julia of CT; one daughter, Jaclyn Daley and her husband Kristopher of Burlington; one sister, Joanne McGrath of FL; one brother James McGrath of Westwood as well as her grandchildren John “Jack” Sarno III and Joli Rose Sarno. She was the sister of the late Francis, Thomas III and Paul McGrath.

SARNO - Of Billerica, formerly of Cambridge, Oct. 23, Eugenia "Gigi" B. Sarno. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday in the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 4 – 7 p.m. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica. Funeral Director Dean M. Laurendeau.
