Eric “Ricky” Johansen – age 60, died peacefully Thursday, July 17 at his home with his family at his side.
He was born in Lowell, November 17, 1964, a son of Mary J. (Bagrowski) Johansen and the late Robert Johansen. Raised in Billerica, Ricky later lived in Meredith, NH for many years before moving back to Billerica due to his illness
.
Ricky was a very talented carpenter and worked with his brothers for most of his career. His skills were regarded in both Massachusetts and the lakes region.
Ricky is survived by his mother, his children, Cortland Findley and her husband James of Meredith, NH and Michael Johansen and his wife Emily of Meredith, NH; his brothers, Robert Johansen and his wife Martha of Dracut, Mark Johansen and his wife Carolyn of Billerica, Edward Johansen and his wife Stephanie of Wolfeboro, NH and Michael Johansen of Chelmsford and his grandchildren, James Findley, Charlotte, Baudin and Wilson Johansen and several nephews and a niece.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 28 at the Billerica Lodge of Elks, 14 Web Brook Rd., Billerica from 1-5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, www.jimmyfund.org.
