Obituary for Emma E. Buckley
BUCKLEY, Emma E. (Foley) – Of Billerica, formerly of Bedford and Waltham, September 26, 2013. Emma graduated from Waltham High School then Waltham School of Nursing in 1947. She was a lifelong RN at several area hospitals and nursing homes prior to retirement from private nursing care. Wife of the late John M. Buckley. Mother of Karen Conley and her husband Leland of Bedford, Paul Buckley and his wife Carla Corey of Billerica, Joanne Buckley of Acton and Sue Curll of Sterling. Sister of Mary MacKay of Roslindale; predeceased by brothers William and Charles, and sister Eleanor of Waltham. Grandmother of Lisa Puls, Geoff and Jason Conley, Emma and Joseph Buckley, Christopher Buckley, and Matthew and Danielle Curll. Also survived by nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and her beloved community at Brightview Concord River. Funeral Tuesday from the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Church at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4-8 p.m. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice or to the Karin Prugnarola-Ballard Scholarship Fund, c/o TD Bank 175 Great Rd., Bedford, MA 01730. Interment in Shawsheen Cemetery, Bedford.
