Obituary for Elsie E. Peck
Elsie E. Peck – Age 86, died Sunday April 19, 2015 surrounded by her family at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington, MA after a brief illness. She was born in Somerville, MA November 6, 1928, a daughter of the late G. William and Ruth (Nickerson) Patten and lived in Framingham, MA for 50 years before moving to Billerica five years ago. Mrs. Peck was employed as a supervisor for the Department of Social Services Child Welfare Department in Framingham until her retirement 20 years ago. Since and currently she was contract consulting for the Massachusetts court systems as a child welfare counselor, parenting coordinator, and guardian ad litem. She enjoyed traveling and took many trips abroad. She enjoyed spending time with her family and writing stories for her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Jeanne Lupinacci and her husband George of Bloomingdale, NJ, Cynthia Dempsey and her husband Bruce of Billerica, MA and Linda Hogan of Monson, MA; her sons, Tim Peck of Cedar Grove, NJ and Tom Peck and his wife Patricia of Milford, MA; her brothers Edward and Carl Field and her sister Dorothy Stone. She also survived by 9 grandchildren; David Peck, Janice Bruder, Ronald Dempsey, Andrea Thomas, Sarah Dempsey, Richard Dempsey, Jennifer Nederhoff, Lisa Peck and Michael Hogan and 7 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by two sisters Inez McIntosh and Ruella Spring PECK – Of Billerica, MA; April 19, 2015; Elsie E. Peck. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica, MA from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation, One Bullfinch Place, Boston, MA 02114.
