Obituary for Ellen M. Meehan
Ellen M. Meehan – Age 52, beloved wife of Brian Mack died Saturday at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington. She was born in Medford, May 12, 1959, the daughter of Barbara (Hennigan) Meehan of Burlington and the late Francis “Mickey” Meehan. Ellen was raised in Burlington and graduated with honors from Burlington High School in 1977. She most recently resided in N. Chelmsford. Ellen started work at Raytheon in 1977 and went to enjoy a long career as a highly respected and award winning Software Engineer. She made many dear friends at Raytheon, including her husband Brian. She enjoyed traveling around the world both on job assignments as well as on recreational trips. A couple of her most beloved work assignments included San Diego, CA as well as Vancouver, B.C. There are some people who touch the heart of everyone they meet in life and Ellen was one of those people. She was kind, caring and generous and she will be missed by many. Ellen always put the needs of her friends and family before her own and was always there when anyone needed her. She was happiest when she was entertaining, cooking big meals, being surrounded by her friends and family and enjoying time at Lake Winnipesaukee in NH She is survived by her adoring husband of five years and best friend for over 30 years, Brian Mack, her sister and best friend Maureen Meola and her husband Raymond of Chelmsford, her two favorite brothers, Michael Meehan and his wife Anne of N. Chelmsford and Bill Meehan of Chelmsford. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Elma Mack, her brother-in-law, Craig Mack and his wife Melissa, her brother-in-law, Bruce Mack and his wife Linda, her sister-in-law, Lisa Keith and her husband David and her sister-in-law, Jennifer Swanson and her husband Brad. Ellen was also the daughter-in-law of the late Donald Mack. She is also survived by her beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and her many dear friends. MEEHAN – Of N. Chelmsford, formerly of Burlington, Ellen M. Meehan, A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265.
