Obituary for Ellen T. Curtin
Ellen T. Curtin – Age 88, wife of the late Arthur M. Curtin Jr. died Tuesday at the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading.
She was born in Shanagolden, County Limerick, Ireland, September 26, 1929, a daughter of the late John and Bridget (Normoyle) Power and moved to Billerica 60 years ago. Mrs. Curtin and her husband were married over 60 years.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Malone of Auburn, Margaret Prescott of VA and Elizabeth Watson of CO; her sons, Jack Curtin of Billerica and Stephen Curtin of Arlington; her brothers, Jack Power of Ireland, Christopher Power of Somerville and James and Joseph Power of Woburn; her sisters, Ita Power and Celine Morrissey of England and is also survived by eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late James and Arthur Curtin and sister of the late Patrick and Dennis Power and Josephine Auclair and Mary Faiferlick.
CURTIN – Of Billerica, Sept. 18, Ellen T. (Power) Curtin, Visiting hours will be held Friday at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 9-11 a.m. A Graveside service will be held at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Boys and Girls Club of Billerica, 19 Campbell Rd., Billerica, MA 01821.
