Elizabeth Gail Strang – known to all as “Gail” – age 78, wife of the late Richard M. Strang, died peacefully Tuesday, April 25, at her daughter’s home.
She was born in Cambridge, MA on April 9, 1945, daughter of the late Daniel and Florence (Kenney) Connelly. She was raised in Cambridge, lived in Billerica for many years, and moved to New Ipswich, NH, two years ago.
Gail co-owned the Debbie Strang Dance Center for many years, where she met and loved so many wonderful children. Previously, she was employed at Cambridge Gas and Light, where she worked with her father, and also at Weston Solutions.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Strang, and Debbie’s husband, Mike Kunkle, of New Ipswich, NH, and her brother, Daniel Connelly Jr. and his wife Ok Kyong of Merrimack, NH, as well as her sister-in-law Vicki Strang of Billerica. Gail also leaves behind her beloved niece Lyn Strang of Billerica, her nephew Scott Strang and his wife Christine of Reading, MA, as well as their three children. She is also survived by her nephew Brian Connelly of Merrimack, NH and his four children, as well as the two children of her late niece, Kelly Connelly.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, April 28 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica, from 4-7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica, at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org. Her burial will take place at the Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
