Obituary for Elizabeth A. Brown
Elizabeth A. Brown – Age 79, wife of the late Richard H. Brown died Thursday at her home. She was born in Lowell, July 15, 1932, the daughter of the late William W. and Elizabeth (Reynolds) O’Day and was raised in Billerica. She and her four children moved many times to follow her husband’s military career in the Air Force before returning to Billerica. She prided herself on being a military wife and homemaker. She especially enjoyed cooking for her family and celebrating holidays. She devoted much of her life caring for others. She tended to several family members during their years of decline including her husband’s aunt, her own mother and her husband. Mrs. Brown enjoyed meeting new people and adored children. Since she understood the awkwardness of being a newcomer, she went out of her way to make others feel welcome. Most recently in her apartment building she baked cakes for each person’s birthday. All who she reached out to loved her and will miss her caring nature. Mrs. Brown in survived by her sons, Richard Brown Jr. of Lowell, Kenneth Brown of VT and Rodney Brown of TX; her daughter, Cynthia Young of NM; her sister, Patricia Borgstrom of Onset and is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
