Elizabeth A. Augusta – age 76, beloved wife of Patrick A. Augusta died peacefully Sunday, April 7 at the Lowell General Hospital.
She was born in Chelsea, October 31, 1947, the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Douglas) Caputo and lived in Chelsea and Revere before moving to Billerica in 1978.
For many years, Elizabeth worked at Lombardo’s Restaurant and later worked for Café Luigi in Bedford. . Elizabeth was known for her big heart and always went out of her way to help others. Elizabeth had a very strong religious faith. Her happiest times were spending time with her loving family.
Besides her husband, Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Carrie Fantasia and Nicole Augusta of Billerica; her son, Joseph Fantasia of Dracut; her brother, William Caputo and his wife Susan of Billerica and her grandchildren, Anthony and Adriana. Special to her heart were her niece, nephews and many special friends. She was the sister of the late Frank Caputo Jr. and the late Thomas Caputo.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, April 13 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 2-5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Elizabeth’s name to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org
