Obituary for Elizabeth June Sackos
Elizabeth June Sackos, Age 90, wife of the late Nicholas T. Sackos died peacefully Tuesday at her home.
She was born in Arlington, May 19, 1931, a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (McCarthy) Dangora and was raised in Arlington before moving to Billerica 60 years ago.
Elizabeth held several positions throughout her career. However, her most meaningful position was as a Family Child Specialist for the Billerica Early Assistants Model (BEAM).
Elizabeth’s greatest loves in life were family, friends, the ocean, and singing & dancing to old time songs.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Sharry and her husband Augustine of Park City, UT, Jill Coppinger and her husband Peter of Billerica; her sons, Paul Sackos and his wife Diane of San Diego, CA, Steven Sackos and his wife Filomena of Stoughton, Gregory Sackos and his wife Diane of Billerica and Christopher Sackos of Billerica. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Friday at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 70 Medford St., Arlington at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Make a Wish Foundation, www.wish.org
