Obituary for Elba E. Franquiz
Elba E. (Mora) Franquiz, age 70, died Sunday at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington.
She was born in Cuba, December 15, 1948 a daughter of the late Amador and Elba (Rondon) Mora and lived in Somerville and Medford before moving to Billerica four years ago.
Mrs. Franquiz worked as a Home Health Aide for over ten years prior to her retirement.
She is survived by one daughter, Ana Homem of Billerica; one son, William Franquiz of Hingham; her longtime companion, Julian Torres of Somerville; her former husband William Franquiz; two brothers, Pablo Mora and Osmara Mora of Cuba; one sister Rubi Mora of Cuba as well as six grandchildren, Craig Homem, Kevin Homem, Cristina Homem, Brandon Franquiz, Monica Franquiz, and Christian Franquiz and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 9 – 10:30 a.m. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa Church, Billerica at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
