Obituary for Eileen E. Ryan
Eileen E. (Freeman) Ryan Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother BILLERICA – Eileen E. (Freeman) Ryan, age 92, wife of the late Joseph L. Ryan Jr., former Billerica Police Chief, died Monday at Lowell General Hospital – Saints Campus after a brief illness. Mrs. Ryan was born in Billerica, April 30, 1921 a daughter of the late George D. and Mary E. (Ready) Freeman and was a lifelong Billerica resident. She was employed at the George Dutile Oil Company and then worked for the Town of Billerica School Department as a cafeteria worker in the Talbot and Hajjar elementary schools as well as the high school. Mrs. Ryan was a parishioner of St. Andrew’s Church in Billerica and was a member of its bowling league, belonged to the Billerica Country Club and enjoyed playing Bridge. She is survived by three daughters, Maureen Pieslak and her husband Richard of Dracut, Patricia Shea of Billerica and Constance Ryan of Tewksbury; four grandchildren, Melissa Curry, Steven Pieslak, and Daniel and Joseph Shea as well as five great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Georgie Fleming, Rita Freeman and Barbara Fraza. RYAN – Of Billerica, Sept 23, Eileen E. (Freeman) Ryan. Funeral Thursday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Andrew’s Church, Talbot Ave., Billerica at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
