Obituary for Edward Sanises

Edward Sanises – age 76, husband of the late Barbara A. (O’Donnell) Sanises died peacefully Thursday, February 22 at his home with his family at his side.


He was born in Cambridge, April 28, 1947, a son of the late Manuel and Helen (Medeiros) Sanises and lived in Billerica for most of his life. Ed proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.


He was employed as a Truck Driver for Local #25 having worked for Consolidated Freightways and later worked for Enterprise Rental Car. Ed was a proud member of the Teamsters.


Ed loved telling jokes, making up words, drinking coffee on Wednesdays with his friends from Enterprise, drinking coffee with his friends at 7/11, driving, going to the beach with his wife, and watching TV shows and movies with Nick. He especially enjoyed spending time with all of his beloved family, friends, and his dog Cash.


Ed is survived by his son, Edward Sanises Jr. and his wife Michelle of Methuen; his daughters, Lisa Sullivan and Lori Sanises of Billerica; his sisters, Phyllis Souza and her husband Richard of Billerica, Helen Souza and her husband Charlie of Billerica, and Robin White and her husband Kenny of South Carolina; and is also survived by his six grandchildren, Nicholas and his wife Nicole, Darian and her husband Tyler, James, Heather, Malori, and Emily; and his three great grandchildren.


A graveside service will be held Thursday, Feb. 29, at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 12 noon. Memorial contributions may be made in Ed’s name to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org
