
Obituary for Edna M. Battcock
Edna M. Battcock, age 85, wife of the late Michael M. Battcock died peacefully Thursday at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Pleasantville, NJ, January 14, 1937, a daughter of the late Leonard and Laura (King) Barrett and was raised in Pleasantville and moved to Billerica in 1966.
Edna was employed as a Switchboard Operator at MACOM in Lowell prior to her retirement. She was an active member of the First Congregational Church in Billerica where she held many positions.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Risher and her husband Rob of Billerica and Barbara Provencal and her husband Mark of Manchester, NH; her son, Michael Battcock Jr. and his wife Carol of Tewksbury; her brother, Leonard Barrett Jr. of Auburndale, FL and her six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Edna also leaves behind her dear friends Marie and Tony Scionti.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, February 11 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 12 at the First Congregational Church, 18 Andover Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Her burial will take place at the Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the First Congregational Church or The Cardiac Amyloidosis Research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
