Obituary for Edith A. Cummings
Edith A. Cummings – Age 92, wife of the late Dwight Cummings died Saturday, November 15, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Freedom, ME, November 1, 1922, a daughter of the late Ernest T. and Nettie K. (Webb) Perry and lived in Lynn before moving to Billerica 60 years ago. Mrs. Cummings was employed at Air Force Cambridge Research Labs in Bedford and later worked as the Manager of the Former Red Pine Grill in Billerica. She was the former President of the VFW Solomon Post Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered at the Billerica Senior Center where she enjoyed playing cribbage. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Rizzo of Sun City Center, FL and Marilyn Costa of Hudson, NH and is also survived by her 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Donna Steele. CUMMINGS – Of Billerica, Nov. 15, Edith A. (Perry) Cummings. A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 10-12 Noon. A graveside service will be held at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 12:30 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
