Obituary for Earle V. Johnson Jr.
BILLERICA – Earle V. Johnson Jr., age 84, beloved husband of 61 years of Peggy A. (Parker) Johnson passed away Tuesday at their home. He was born in Bangor, ME, November 12, 1930 a son of the late Earle V. Sr. and Olive M. (Bridges) Johnson and lived in Somerville and Arlington before moving to Billerica in 1956. Mr. Johnson served in the US Army attaining the rank of Corporal during the Korean War and was a Construction Laborer for Local #609 for over 50 years. He enjoyed going to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun, was a Red Sox and Patriots fan and was fond of animals especially his cat Mr. Pickles. Besides his wife he is survived by one daughter, Susan McCormack and her husband Charles of Derry, NH; two sons, Robert Johnson and his wife Tina of Palm Harbor, FL and Steve Johnson of Billerica; one sister, Ruth Barnett of East Harwich; one brother Paul Johnson and his wife Margaret of Bedford as well as 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was the grandfather of the late Sarah McCormack and brother of the late Carole Montgomery and Perry Johnson. JOHNSON – Of Billerica, formerly of Somerville and Arlington, April 28, Earle V. Johnson Jr. Visiting hours will be held Saturday in the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 1 – 4 p.m. with a Prayer Service to be held at 3:45 p.m. followed by Military Honors. All other services will be held privately and at the convenience of his family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
