Obituary for Duane J. 'Mac' McDonnell
BILLERICA Duane J. Mac McConnell, age 79, husband of the late Petrina (Mercurio) McConnell died unexpectedly Sunday at his home.
He was born in Beaver Dam, WI, February 21, 1930, son of the late James and Effie (Erickson) McConnell and has been a Billerica resident for the past 45 years.
Mr. McConnell served in the US Navy and was a tool and die machinist for the TRW Co. in Woburn for over 20 years.
He is survived by one daughter Debra Walker of Billerica; one son James McConnell of Lowell; one brother and sister Lamont McConnell and Beverly Stroupt both of Arizona; three grandchildren, Jennifer Hudson, Emily McConnell and Mindy McConnell; four great-grandchildren, Christian Hudson, Maryanne Hudson, Sophia Beal-Hudson and Cassie Cushing. He is also survived by his godson, Steven Beal and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday in the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd. Billerica from 10 a.m. 1 p.m. A Graveside service will be held Wednesday at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 1:30 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
