Obituary for Douglas A. Campbell
BILLERICA – Douglas A. Campbell, age 86, beloved husband of the late Rita E. (Cole) Campbell died Nov. 2 at the Life Care Center of the Merrimack Valley after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Springfield August 27, 1935 a son of the late Bernard and Doris K. (Rankin) Campbell and was a longtime Billerica resident.
Mr. Campbell served in the US Army attaining the rank of Corporal and was employed as a Software Engineer and Computer Programmer for Xyvision.
He is survived by two sons, Jason Campbell of Salem, NH and Matthew Campbell and his wife Jacqueline of St. Thomas USVI, his five grandchildren, Darcy, Chloe, Ella, Maya and Teagan as well as his former daughter-in-law Lisa Campbell of Methuen. He was the brother of the late Dorothy Campbell.
It being his request a private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
