Obituary for Dottie A. Christie
BILLERICA – Dorothy A. “Dottie” (Rossignol) Christie, age 72, beloved wife of 52 years to James J. Christie, died Saturday at Spaulding Rehab in Cambridge after a 3 month battle.
She was born in Van Buren, Maine, August 26, 1944 a daughter of the late Gerard and Lena (Beech) Rossignol and lived in Wilmington before moving to Billerica in 1985.
Dottie was an avid gardener and loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Melissa Smith and her husband Thomas of Billerica; one son, James M. Christie and his wife Stephanie of Methuen; one sister, Angela Hoffman of Pelham, NH as well as five grandchildren, Alex, Hailey, Sarah, James R. and Savanna. She was the sister of the late Jacqueline Lajoie and Michael Rice.
CHRISTIE – Of Billerica formerly of Wilmington, Dec. 31. Dorothy A. “Dottie” (Rossignol) Christie. A Memorial Visitation will be held Friday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4 – 7 p.m. All other services will be held privately and at the convenience of her family.
