Obituary for Dorothy M. Berrios
Dorothy M. Berrios – Age 69, died Saturday at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born in New Bedford, January 25, 1944, the daughter of the late Jose and Mary (Paiva) Ramos and lived in New Bedford for many years before moving to Lowell and Dracut 18 years ago. Prior to her retirement in 2011, Ms. Berrios was employed as the Chief Victim Witness Advocate for the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office. She was an active member of the Riverside Assembly of God Church in Methuen and also Our Lady of Assumption in New Bedford. She is survived by her children Dennis Berrios and his wife Tracey of New Bedford, Teresa Opland and her husband Troy of Chelmsford, Greg Berrios of Methuen and Angie Berrios of Dracut; her brother, Elias Ramos and his wife, Molly of New Bedford and 11 grandchildren, Jordan, Thomas, Dennis, Nicholas, Vanessa, Greg Jr., Kyleigh, Katelyn, Donivan, Briana and Bailey. (Ramos) Berrios, A memorial visitation will be held Thursday at the Riverside Assembly of God Church, 15 Lowell Rd., Methuen from 2-5 p.m. with a service to be held at 5 p.m. A graveside service will be held Friday at St. John’s Cemetery, 664 Allen St., New Bedford, MA at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
