Obituary for Dorothy E. Jamer
Dorothy E. (Horton) Jamer, age 84, beloved wife of the late Hank Jamer, died Saturday, April 7, 2012, on what would have been their 66th wedding anniversary. She died at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Medford, May 18, 1927, daughter of the late Gordon W. and Margaret C. (Moody) Horton and lived in Billerica prior to moving to Tewksbury in 1966. Mrs. Jamer loved to play bingo, enjoyed going to her cottage in Barnstead, NH, and traveling, but most of all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by five sons and four daughters: Bill Jamer and his wife Susan of Chelmsford, Sandy Jamer of Tewksbury, Kathy Oliver and her husband Ted of Springfield, VA, Jim Jamer of Tewksbury, Nancy Higgins and her husband Steve of Tewksbury, Bob Jamer of Tewksbury, Jack Jamer and his wife Debbie of Salem, NH, Cindy Chase and her husband Buddy of Tewksbury and Michael Jamer and his wife Colleen of New Ipswich, NH. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren, with 2 more great-grandchildren due this summer. She was the sister of the late Charlie, Jimmy and Genevieve Horton, Margie McGinness and Eva Bearden. JAMER – Of Tewksbury, formerly of Billerica, April 7, Dorothy E. (Horton) Jamer. Funeral Friday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. A Graveside service will be held at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
