Obituary for Dorothy A. Simolaris
BILLERICA - Dorothy A. (Smith) Simolaris, age 78, died Thursday at Lowell General Hospital after a brief battle with cancer.
She was born in Revere, October 13, 1942 a daughter of the late Warren and Helen (Noonan) Smith and has been a longtime Billerica resident.
Dorothy was a waitress at the former Skip's restaurant in Chelmsford for many years, well loved by countless "regulars" who sat at her counter. Above all else, she enjoyed spending time with her adoring family, who were her greatest joy. Her warm smile, generous spirit, and loving nature will be missed by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Sanchez and her husband Victor of Billerica, John Hagg and his wife Elaine of Chelmsford, Linda Schwartz and her husband Kevin of Dracut, James Hagg and his companion Judy Binnette of Billerica, Laura Simolaris and her husband Joseph Davis of Arlington, George Simolaris of Billerica, Thomas Simolaris and his wife Kathy of Flagstaff, AZ, John Simolaris and his wife Tracey of Townsend, Mark Simolaris of Little Falls, NJ, Steven Simolaris and his wife Deanna of Billerica and Tina Dearborn and her husband David of Nottingham, NH; her sister, Helen Carter of Arlington as well as many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends whom she cherished.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 2 – 4 p.m. All other services will be held privately and at the convenience of her family.
