Obituary for Dorothy A. McGinness
BILLERICA - Dorothy A. (Hastings) (Walsh) McGinness, age 98, wife of the late Arthur Walsh and the late Thomas McGinness died Friday at the Aberjona Nursing Center in Winchester.
She was born in Cambridge, January 31, 1912, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Parkinson) Hastings. She has been a Billerica resident for the past 83 years and was a member of the Red Hat Society and a longtime pen pal of the Ditson School.
Mrs. McGinness is survived by one son, Larry Walsh of Billerica; two daughters Dianne Musik of Orleans and Lynne Cloutier of Billerica; one sister Claire Meaney of Lexington and seven grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Arthur F. Walsh and sister of the late Thomas, Charles and Edward Hastings, Marion Stillings, Evelyn Rogers, Helen Mitchell and Lorraine Kimball.

Funeral Tuesday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Mary's Church, Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4 - 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
