Obituary for Dorothy M. McManus
Dorothy M. (Allard) McManus – Age 75, wife of the late John E. McManus died Thursday at her home with her family at her side.
She was born in Boston, July 14, 1942, a daughter of the late Paul and Dorothy (Faulkner) Allard and lived in Dorchester before moving to Billerica 71 years ago.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. McManus was employed in the Finance Department of Hewlett Packard for over ten years. She was an avid N.E. Patriots fan and loved cats and spending holidays and birthday parties with family and friends and going to the beach for lobster dinners. She enjoyed road trips with her late husband and children to Florida. They would also take random excursions throughout New England at the drop of a hat. It never mattered where she was going, it was what happened along the way that mattered most. Dottie also enjoyed spending time with her brother and his wife in Meredith and her friends Judy and David in Maine, whenever possible.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeremie McManus and her partner Nick of Billerica; her son, Derek McManus and his late wife Jill of Dracut; her brother, Paul D. "Don" Allard and his wife Barbara of Meredith, NH and her grandchildren, Paige, Kyle, Kassie and Dylan McManus.

(Allard) McManus, Funeral Tuesday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Church at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
