DORIS L. ALBERTS Loving Mother, Grandmother And Great Grandmother Doris L. Alberts – Age 85, died Wednesday at her daughter’s home surrounded by her family. She was born in Williamsport, PA, May 13, 1927, the daughter of the late Anthony E. and Mazie A. (Reed) Schmaus and lived in Roslindale for many years before moving to Billerica with her daughter. Mrs. Alberts worked as a Legal Secretary for many years and retired at the age of 75. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Cook and her husband Russell of Billerica, Jeanne Paz and her husband Adam of TX and Lou Ann Meli and her husband John of Mansfield; her son, Jeffrey Alberts of Roslindale; her brother, Donald Schmaus of FL and is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Russell Cook Jr., Rachel Harty, Victoria Alberts, Lea Meli and Ashley Polsen and 6 great grandchildren, Michael, Thomas, Russell III, Joseph, Kelly and Matthew. ALBERTS – Of Billerica, formerly of Roslindale, Jan. 2, Doris L. (Schmaus) Alberts. Visiting hours will be held Friday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held Saturday at the First Congregational Church, 18 Andover Rd., Billerica at 12 Noon. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Memorial contributions may be made to the Home for Little Wanderers, 271 Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02115. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
