Obituary for Doris G. Hanson
Doris G. (Laurendeau) Hanson – Age 91, wife of the late Daniel F. Shea and Edwin C. Hanson died peacefully on Friday, surrounded by her loving family, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill. She was born in Somerville, July 14, 1921, the daughter of the late Wilfred J. Laurendeau Sr. and Annie G. (Rogers) Laurendeau and lived in Burlington for over 50 years before moving to Methuen in 1999. Doris enjoyed taking rides to the beach and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered by all who were entertained by her piano performances. Doris learned the piano at age five and played it exceptionally well until the time of her passing. This was her unique gift that she shared with others. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Berry and her husband Robert of Dracut and Deborah Gatta and her husband Robert of Salem, NH; her son, Daniel Shea and his wife Carol of Billerica and is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Mrs. Hanson was the sister of the late Wilfred J. Laurendeau Jr. HANSON – Of Methuen, formerly of Burlington, Jan. 25, Doris G. (Laurendeau) Hanson. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday at St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Burial in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
