Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother and Friend
DRACUT – Doris E. (Harper) Batherwich, age 78, died Tuesday at the Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer after a brief illness.
She was born in Malden, November 19, 1938 a daughter of the late Wilfred and Ethel (Bloom) Harper and lived in Savin Hill before moving to Dracut over 20 years ago.
Mrs. Batherwich was a Tax Preparer for H&R Block and also worked in the cash room at Wal-Mart.
The most important thing in her life was her family, she was their rock. She will be remembered for being the neighborhood mom for many local children all of whom called her mom. Anyone that came into her life she loved, adored and they became family.
She is survived by two sons, Larry Batherwich of NY, NY, Ronald E. Batherwich Jr. of Quincy; two daughters, Sheryle Sprissler of Marlboro and Tammy Clement of Dunstable.; two brothers John Harper and Edgar Merrithew; one sister Ruth Kelly as well as 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
BATHERWICH – Of Dracut, March 28, Doris E. Batherwich. Funeral Saturday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 11:30 a.m. A Graveside Service will be held at the Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica at 12:30 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4 – 7 p.m.
