Obituary for Doris A. Cennamo
BILLERICA- Doris A. (Steffen) Cennamo, age 87, died unexpectedly Wednesday April 21 at her home.
Born in Brookings, SD a daughter of the late William and Erna (Hamann) Steffen and has been a Billerica resident since 1968.
Doris worked as an Executive Secretary at Hanscom Air Force Base for many years and was a member of the Billerica Senior Center where she enjoyed playing Mahjong. Her true joy was spending time with her life partner Vincent Catania, both of their families, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by one son James Cennamo of Billerica & Nantucket; two daughters, Jina (Jeanne Cennamo) Levin of Billerica and Anne Cennamo of AZ; five granddaughters, Justine Cennamo, Kate & Josh Gates, Tiffany Keyes, Emily & Dominic Starliper and Sonya Hartley as well as four great-grandchildren, Charlotte, McLaren, Lincoln Gates and Teagan Hartley.
Doris had a very fond and loving relationship with Vinny’s children and grandchildren as well. Paul Catania, Christine & Phil Marcotte, Suzanne Catania, Vinny’s Grandchildren Amanda, Joshua, Alex and Zachary Marcotte, Alexandra Thompson & Christian Klein and cousins Dianne & Al Dejardon, Amy, Brian, Jillian & spouse & children.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, May 8th at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish in St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
