Doreen B. Healy – Age 56, died peacefully Thursday, July 27 at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Somerville, March 10, 1967, a daughter of the late James W. and Janet B. (Nadeau) Ritchie and lived in Billerica all of her life.
Doreen is survived by her children, Cory Johanson and Nicholas Allgaier of Billerica, her sister, Debbie Norton, her niece Courtney Norton, her nephews Troy Norton, Cameron Ritchie and Carter Russo, cousins Dawn and Tracy Noyes and step-mother Donna Ritchie of Florida.
Besides spending time with her family and friends, Doreen had a passion for helping children for many years acting as a School Advocate for many families in Billerica. Doreen had a bright and energetic personality and was known for her ability to sense when others needed her help. She will be greatly missed for her sense of humor, positive attitude and concern for others. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life. She was a warrior and will forever be in our hearts!
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering to be held on Saturday, August 12th at the Andover Country Club, 60 Canterbury St., Andover from 12-4 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made in Doreen’s name to the Jimmy Fund, www.jimmyfund.org in lieu of flowers.
