Obituary for Diane I. Ellis
Diane I. Ellis – Age 86, wife of the late Charles Ellis Jr. to whom she was married for 63 years died Friday at the Sunny Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chelmsford.

She was born in Boston, August 10, 1932, a daughter of the late Walter and Marie E. (Lennon) Bennett and lived in Boston before moving to Billerica in 1962 where they raised their family.

Prior to entering the nursing home, Mrs. Ellis was an active communicant of St. Theresa and St. Mary Churches in Billerica. The family would like to thank the staff of Sunny Acres including Karen Duke and Simone Ngugi for the love and care of their mother.

Mrs. Ellis is survived by her daughters, Leslie Rodgers and her husband George of Tewksbury and Lynne McDonald and her husband Frank of Chelmsford; her sons, Thomas Ellis and his wife Paula of Billerica and John Ellis and his wife Lauren of Groton. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She was the grandmother of the late Brandon McDonald and sister of late Frank Bennett, Virginia Biache and Helen Schermerhorn.

ELLIS – Of Billerica, Nov. 2, Diane I. (Bennett) Ellis, A Funeral Mass will be held Monday at St. Theresa Church, 465 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverly Oak Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
