Dennis R. Forbes, age 68, beloved husband of Debra A. (Cannon) Forbes died Monday January 23, peacefully, at home after a lengthy illness with his family by his side
He was born in Sacramento, CA, Oct. 3, 1954 a son of the late Donald and Barbara (Leathe) Forbes and lived in Billerica and Westford before moving to Nashua in 1986.
Prior to his retirement, he worked as Director of Materials for Evoqua Water Technologies. His career spanned decades, since the 1970's with similar related organizations. He maintained very close relationships with people he worked for and with. All were very special to him, and he felt as if they were part of his family too.
He enjoyed spending quality time with his family, friends and neighbors. He thoroughly enjoyed pampering his many cars and trucks over the years and could frequently be seen in his driveway meticulously cleaning, waxing and polishing them. Sometimes his idea of a good weekend would be to have some of his neighbors, family and friends' cars to pamper as well. He enjoyed going to coffee at Dunkin and taking short drives either by himself or with others. He enjoyed reading and working in his yard, and took occasional vacations with family.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, January 26, 2023, at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4 – 7 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. All other services will be held privately and at the convenience of his family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may also be made in his name to either the American Lung Association or to the American Cancer Society.
