Delores A. Simone – Age 81, wife of the late Thomas R. Simone Jr. died peacefully Wednesday, January 28 surrounded by her family.
She was born in Rochester, NY, May 4, 1944, daughter of the late Dominic and Florence (Vacca) Garofano and sister to the late Jack Garofano. She was raised in Fairport, NY and lived in Penfield, NY before moving to Billerica MA to be closer to her family.
Delores loved opening her home and her heart to everyone. She was happiest when surrounded by people she loved, hosting with warmth, generosity and grace.
She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Girard-Simone and her wife Diane of Leominster, MA and her son, Thomas D. Simone and his wife Michelle of Billerica, MA; and her four grandchildren, Madeline, Amanda, Danielle and James.
Her burial will take place at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon MA in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made in Delores’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org
