Obituary for Deborah A. Komulainen

Deborah A. Komulainen – age 70, beloved wife of Paul A. Komulainen died peacefully Monday, June 29 after period of declining health.


She was born in Melrose, March 26, 1956 a daughter of Claire (Gerrior) Sheppard of Billerica and the late Lawrence Sheppard Sr. and was raised in Stoneham and Wakefield and moved to Billerica in 2000.


Deborah worked at the former Arcadia Financial and later worked at Drum Hill Ford.


Besides her husband and mother, Deborah is survived by her sons, Paul Keplinger of Billerica and Zachary Komulainen of KS; her daughters, Angula Swick of WV and Allison Berry of OK; her brothers, Richard Sheppard of Beverly and John Sheppard of NH; her sister, Pamela Mahoney of Billerica and is also survived by her six grandchildren. She was a wonderful aunt to many nieces and nephews and god mother to Staci Kozachuk and Tyler “Little Red” Mahoney. She was the sister of the late Lawrence Sheppard Jr.


A visitation will be held Thursday at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A graveside service will follow at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Deborah’s name to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org
