Obituary for David P. Lee Sr.
David P. Lee Sr. – Age 71, husband of the late Mary H. (Daniels) Lee died Monday at the Willow Manor Nursing Home in Lowell surrounded by his family. He was born in Somerville, February 3, 1941, the son of the late Leonard N. and Margaret L. (Everton) Lee and lived in Billerica most of his life. After his retirement Mr. Lee enjoyed his home in Ormond Beach, FL. Mr. Lee was the owner of Pinehurst Manor Remodeling and did finish carpentry in the Billerica area. He was a former Billerica Little League Coach and Billerica Girls Softball Coach and a member of the Guys and Gals Bowling League and the Billerica Lodge of Elks. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and snowmobiling and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He is survived by his sons, David Lee Jr. and his wife Julie of Billerica and Stephen Lee and his wife Joyce of Manchester, NH; his daughters, Patricia Lee-McCaughey of Billerica, Nancy Mackey and her husband John of Pelham, NH, Karen Murphy and her husband Brian of Chelmsford, Mary Anne Ryan of Nashua, NH and Michelle Abbott and her husband Jason of Hudson, NH; his brothers, Ronald Lee of Tyngsboro and William Lee of Otisfield, ME; his sisters, Genevieve Jean and Dorothy Newton of Exeter, NH, Patricia Iannacci of Woburn, Norma Brod of Virginia Beach, VA and Audrey Eckman of Bridgewater. Also survived by 15 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Mr. Lee was the brother of the late Virginia Vellis, Margaret Griffith, Florence Cameron, Leonard Lee Jr. and Edward Leatham. LEE – Of Billerica, May 7, David P. Lee Sr., A funeral service will be held Friday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
