Obituary for David H. Silva
David H. Silva – Age 39, died unexpectedly Thursday as the result of injuries sustained in a snowmobile accident in New Hampshire. Dave was a devoted husband and father to his wife Melissa A. ( Newton ) Silva and his beautiful children, Angela Kelley Silva and Richard Henry Silva of Dunstable. He loved them fiercely and placed them above all else. Dave and his family enjoyed spending time in their second home in Freedom, NH but most of all they enjoyed just being together. He was born in Melrose, November 6, 1975, the son of Henry and Karen ( Hoskins) Silva and lived in Billerica for most of his life before moving to Dunstable one year ago. Mr. Silva was employed as a Firefighter for the Town of Billerica. He was appointed a firefighter in January of 2000 and served as the department SAFE (Student Awareness of Fire Education) and (Senior Awareness of Fire Safety) instructor. Besides his wife, children and parents, Mr. Silva is survived by his sisters, Elizabeth Koester and her husband Erik of Wilmington and Denise Brennan and her husband James of Tewksbury; his father and mother-in-law, Ed and Liz Newton of Billerica; his sisters and brother-in-laws, Christine Crocker and her husband James of Methuen, Cheryl Duffy and her husband Michael of Derry, NH, Michelle Wells and her husband Steven of Billerica and Eddie Newton of Billerica as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. SILVA – Of Dunstable formerly of Billerica, by accident Feb. 5, David H. Silva. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd. , Billerica from 3-7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at St. Theresa Church at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. In lieu of the flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the David Silva Children’s Fund, c/o TD Bank, 449 Boston Rd., Billerica, MA 01821. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery in Billerica.
