Obituary for David W. Heckman
David W. Heckman – Age 86, husband of the late Mary (McDonough) Heckman died Tuesday, Dec. 7 at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill.
He was born in Waltham, January 5, 1935, a son of the late John and Violet (Backman) Heckman and lived in Waltham and Hudson before moving to Billerica 44 years ago.
David was employed as an Engineer having worked at MIT Lincoln Labs for over 30 years before his retirement.
He is survived by his daughters, Paula Morris of Atkinson, NH, Maryanne Giordano of Billerica, and Lori Maguire of Dracut; his sons, John Heckman of VA, John Bernard of Salem, NH, Robert Heckman of Leominster and Joshua Heckman of Hampton, NH and is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Audrey Hamilton.
Funeral arrangements will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in David’s name to the Parkinson Foundation, www.parkinson.org
