Darlene M. (DelSolia) Trott, age 60, beloved wife of Glenn F. Trott for 33 years, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House with her husband, daughter, and closest family by her side.
Born in Malden on April 27, 1965, she was a daughter of the late Peter J. and Carol A. (Boudreau) DelSolia, and lived in Melrose before moving to Billerica in the 6th grade.
Darlene graduated from Billerica Memorial High School in 1983 and went on to work at BayBank in Burlington for 14 years, and later at the Lynnway Auto Auction in North Billerica. Over the years, she also helped her husband manage his company, Trott Tree Service.
In her spare time, Darlene enjoyed visiting the beach, going shopping, and exercising on her treadmill. In the evenings, she could often be found with a glass of Butter chardonnay in her hand while eating dinner with her family.
Above all else, Darlene loved spending time with her family and friends. Her greatest fulfillment in life came from caring for her family as a devoted mother and wife. She will always be remembered for her generosity and willingness to go out of her way to help others.
Darlene is survived by her husband Glenn Trott; her daughter, Rachael Trott and her fiancé Jake Marion of Billerica; two sisters, Denise Smith and her husband Stephen of Billerica and Debra Willgohs and her husband Peter of Tewksbury; one brother, Peter DelSolia Jr. of Billerica; as well as several nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 3–7 p.m at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Road, Billerica. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church in Billerica. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at https://pancan.org/—gifts made in the month of November in honor of Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month will be doubled and support research and early detection initiatives.
