Obituary for Daniel James Roderick
Billerica – Daniel James Roderick- Age 93, husband of the late Florence E. (Colbert) Roderick died Monday at the Golden View Health Care Center in Meredith, NH. He was born in Boston, June 6, 1921, a son of the late Daniel J. and Mary (Dias) Roderick and was a resident of Billerica for 68 years. He served in the Army during WW II and was a recipient on the Bonze Star. He later worked for the Army Research and Design at the Watertown Arsenal for over 35 years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed many summers with his family at Lake Shore Park in Gilford, NH. He was a member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks where he enjoyed going to their gym daily and also enjoyed SCUBA Diving. Mr. Roderick is survived by his daughter, Diane Alting and her husband Lawrence of Alton Bay, NH; his brothers, James Roderick of S. Dennis and Charles Roderick of FL; his sister, Mary Mula of Cambridge and his two grandsons, Daniel Alting of Chicago, IL and Christopher Alting of Worcester. RODERICK – Of Billerica, Jan. 12, Daniel James Roderick, A funeral service will be held Wednesday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 12 Noon. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. – 12 Noon. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
