
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Cynthia Lee (Potter) Tomlin, age 63, a beloved wife, daughter, mother, sister, and aunt. She passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025, at Lowell General Hospital after a series of illnesses over the last several years, surrounded by love.
Cindy was the devoted wife of Ronald D. Tomlin, with whom she shared 35 wonderful years of marriage. She was a dedicated and loving mother to Courtney N. Tomlin of Billerica.
Born in Lowell on September 20, 1961, Cindy was the daughter of Helen L. (Lee) Potter of Billerica and the late Stuart L. Potter and daughter-in-law of Ronald Tomlin of Billerica and the late Charlene Tomlin. She is survived by her brother Steven Potter and his wife Allison of East Hartford, CT; her sisters Katrina, Sandra (Potter-Davidson) Millikan and her husband Gerald of Billerica, and Tamara and partner Susan of Dracut. She was also cherished by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Allyson (Tomlin) and David Gonsalvas of Billerica, MA, as well as Scott and Maureen Tomlin of Abington, MA.
A loving aunt, Cindy adored Briana and Zachary Gonsalvas, Angela Field, Megan and John Tomlin, and Haley and Michael Davidson.
Cindy graduated from Fitchburg State College with a degree in nursing. As a Registered Nurse, she dedicated her career to caring for others, working in the Cardiac ICU at Beth Israel, as well as at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH, and in private practice. She later transitioned to Hill-Rom Medical as a wound care nurse. After becoming a mother, Cindy found her true calling as a school nurse for the Town of Billerica at the Ditson School. She cherished the time spent with the students and formed lasting friendships with their families.
Known for her warm heart, beautiful smile, and endearing sense of humor, Cindy was a source of love and kindness to all who knew her. She treasured time spent with family and friends and will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
Visiting hours will be held Monday, April 7, 2025 4- 7 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Road Billerica Ma 01821. A Funeral Service for Cindy will be held on Tuesday April 8, 2025, at 10:30 AM at the First Congregational Church, 18 Andover Road, Billerica MA 01821 Flowers are lovely if you wish, should you prefer a lasting memorial the family would like you to consider donating to "The First Congregational Church Building Fund" in honor of Cindy and her compassionate spirit.
