Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather And Brother Cornelius “Cal” C. Callihan – Age 76, beloved husband of 54 years of Dorothy M (Myers) Callihan died unexpectedly Tuesday at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, October 1, 1936, the son of the late Leonard and Leora (Reynolds) Callihan and has lived in Billerica for the past 45 years. Mr. Callihan served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Along with his wife, Mr. Callihan was the owner of both Gopher Courier and Calport to the Airport for 25 years prior to his retirement. He was a communicant of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in N. Billerica and was a former member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks and the Billerica Lions Club. Mr. Callihan enjoyed many hobbies, among these were fishing at the Quabbin Reservoir, playing in a tennis league for many years at the Lampson field, he enjoyed playing billiards at the Elks and later at the Billerica COA, playing golf with friends, and was an avid online chess player. His greatest sports passion was following every move made by the Boston Celtics. Besides his wife, Mr. Callihan is survived by his son, Keith Callihan of Nashua, NH; his daughters, Donna Hill of N. Andover and Christine Aylward and her husband David of Haverhill; his brother, James Callihan of OH and 3 grandchildren, Victoria Callihan and Shannon and Amanda Hill. CALLIHAN – Of Billerica, May 21, Cornelius “Cal” C. Callihan, Funeral Saturday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Anne’s Episcopal Church Building Fund, 14 Treble Cove Rd., Billerica, MA 01862.
