Clayton W. Jenkins Jr., age 75, passed away Saturday, April 27, at Care One in Wilmington after a period of declining health.
He was born in Lowell, July 31, 1948, a son of the late Clayton W. and Julienne (Matte) Jenkins and was a lifelong Billerica resident.
Clay served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era and was employed as a contractor for several local companies.
Clayton enjoyed going to the beach, camping, fishing and boating. He was a huge fan of sci-fi movies. His pride and joy were his two daughters and his grandson.
He is survived by two daughters, Monica Jenkins and her fiancé Josh Bialowans of Jupiter, FL and Courtney Jenkins and her son Mason Ferreira of Santa Monica, CA; one sister Diane and Will Summerhays of Billerica, MA; four brothers, Jeffrey and Sue Jenkins of Ponte Vedra, FL, Jimmy and Arlene Jenkins of Naples, FL, Gary and Brenda Jenkins of Greenwich, CT and David Jenkins of Billerica, MA; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Wednesday May, 15 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 11 – 12:30 p.m. followed by Graveside Service with Military Honors at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans at www.dav.org
