Obituary for Claire C. Vaughan
Claire C. Vaughan, Age 91, wife of the late Harold J. Vaughan died Tuesday at her home with her family at her side.
She was born in Dover, NH, May 5, 1930, a daughter of the late Frederick and Grace B. (Pierce) Conway and lived in Barrington, NH and moved to Billerica in 1958.
Claire was employed as a Dietitian at many area nursing homes prior to her retirement. She was an active communicant of St. Mary Church in Billerica and served as an usher with her husband. She was a Charter Member of the Billerica Friends of Music and a member of the American Dietetic Association.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Membrino and Cheryl Kelley and her husband Peter of Billerica; her sons, Michael Vaughan and his wife Justine of York, ME and David Vaughan and his wife Debbie of Gardner; her brother, Raymond Conway of Jefferson, NH; her son-in-law, Scott Brody of Dracut and her 18 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Donna Brody and sister of the late Ralph, Phillip Conway, Mary Dodge and Ruth Gambardello.
Claire’s funeral will be held Monday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Mary Church at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 1-4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the New England Parkinson’s Ride, P.O.
