Christine J. (Tessier) Smith, age 69, died Tuesday, February 13, at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Attleboro, December 22, 1954, a daughter of the late Omer L. and Patricia J. (Tinkham) Tessier and lived in Wrentham before moving to Northport, FL and then to Billerica in 2018.
Christine was employed as an RN for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Manning, and her wife Amy Desroche of Billerica; two brothers, George, and Butch Tessier; two sisters, Cheryl Masterson and Joyce Tessier as well as her grandchildren, Kristina, and Logan. She was the mother of the late Dale Manning and sister of the late Robert Tessier.
A sentiment sent from her sister Cheryl remembering Christine:
“The Tessier/Manning clan didn't use a lot of words, but you always knew what they were trying to say when they'd smile, laugh, or had a frown or tears. But we all loved a good joke, or a laugh & Chrissy loved being part of the gang. She had a wonderful belly laugh that was infectious. Chrissy grew into a warm and giving person who enjoyed growing a garden, taking care of family, and creating fun things to do like an Easter egg hunt, making quilts and cooking wonderful dishes. She will be missed but never forgotten. We love you sister, mother, grandmother.”
It being her request all services will be held privately and at the convenience of her family.
