Charles I Jervinis – Age 91, beloved husband of Constance E. (Cosmopoulos) Jervinis died Tuesday, March 12 at the Holy Family Hospital in Haverhill with his family at his side.
He was born in Lynn, January 21, 1933, a son of the late Ignatios and Anthe (Demergy) Jervinis and was raised in Lynn and has lived in Billerica since 1969. Charles proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was employed as a Chemist for General Foods – Atlantic Gelatin in Woburn for over 30 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Woburn and also sang in the choir.
Besides his wife, Charles is survived by his sons, Pete Jervinis and his wife Suzi of Burlington, George Jervinis of Billerica and John Jervinis and his wife Merrin of Naples, FL; his brother, George Jervinis of W. Springfield and was the brother of the late John Jervinis, Bessie Ann Kiricoples and Mary Siraco. He is also survived by his beloved three grandchildren, Constantine, Benjamin and Sammie Jervinis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews
A visitation will be held Monday, March 18 at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 70 Montvale Ave., Woburn from 10-11 a.m. with a service to be held at 11 a.m. His burial with Military Honors will be held at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica. Memorial contributions may be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.
