Obituary for Charles F. Oar
TEWKSBURY – Charles F. Oar, age 50, beloved husband of Marianne (McWhinnie) Oar, died Thursday at Tewksbury State Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born in Boston on December 18, 1961, a son of Charles F. Jr. and Marsha L. (Gerbrach) Hoar and was raised in Scituate before moving to Kingston for 10 years. Mr. Oar worked in the sales department for the Power Electro Company in Pembroke from 1999 until 2005. He was an avid hockey player, built a Shelby Cobra car and enjoyed boating, motorcycles and race cars as well as spending precious time with his family and many friends. Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by his loving daughter, Shannon Oar of Billerica; his brother, Michael Oar and his wife Peggy of Scituate; his grandmother, Helen Wallis of CA; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Paula McWhinnie of Billerica; his sister-in-law Terri Lawler of Billerica as well as one nephew, Michael Oar Jr. of Scituate and four nieces, Amanda and Christine Oar of Scituate and Samantha and Allison Lawler of Billerica. Funeral Tuesday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Andrew’s Church, 45 Talbot Ave. , N. Billerica at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4 – 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to AFTD, Radnor Station Building 2, Suite 320 , 290 King of Prussia Road , Radnor , PA 19087 Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery , Billerica .
