Obituary for Charles 'Charlie' R. Ennion Jr.
Charles “Charlie” R. Ennion Jr. – Age 69, died Sunday at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Lowell, July 11, 1943, son of the late Charles R. Ennion Sr. and Annabelle (Trainor) Ennion, was raised in Billerica and moved to Westford in 1991. Mr. Ennion was a self-employed custom home builder and roofing contractor. Charlie graduated from Billerica High School, Class of 1961. He was a member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks and the Billerica Moose Club. He was an avid golfer and was a charter member of the Billerica Golf League and most recently played at the Nabnasset Country Club. Charlie spent many summers boating on Lake Winnipesaukee and enjoyed driving in his convertible when the New England weather allowed. Charlie loved dancing and listening to music from the 50s. In later years he was regarded as the Ennion family patriarch, spending much of his quality time with his extended family during holidays and events. He is survived by his daughters, Peggy Ennion-Pickford of Westford, Lisa Mailloux and her husband Eric of Weare, NH and Kristen Ennion-Sanchez of San Diego, CA; his sons, Charles R. Ennion III and his wife Gigi of Laconia, NH and Daniel Ennion of Chicago, IL; his brother, Thomas Ennion and his wife Janice of Billerica; his sister, Peggy Langell of Milford, NH; his grandchildren, Skyler Mailloux, Leif Mailloux, Micaela Ennion and Charles R. Ennion IV; his nieces and nephew, Melissa Kubick of Townsend, Marlene Burke of Nashua, Carrie Cataldo of Land O’Lakes, FL, Jessica Williams of Virginia Beach, VA and Thomas Ennion Jr. of South Boston. Mr. Ennion is also survived by his former wife, Mary (Landry) Ultrino of Chelmsford and his former wife Gail DiPalma of Malden. ENNION – Of Westford, formerly of Billerica, March 10, Charles R. Ennion Jr., Funeral Friday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew’s Church, Talbot Ave., N. Billerica at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Jimmy Fund, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
