Obituary for Charles E Waldmyer
BILLERICA – Charles E. Waldmyer, age 94, beloved husband of the late Margaret B. (Waddell) Waldmyer died Friday at Willow Manor Nursing Home to be with the Lord in Heaven after a battle with cancer.
He was born in Boston, November 7, 1921 a son of the late Charles and Hazel Waldmyer and has been a Billerica resident since 1959.
Charlie served in the Army Air Corps during WW II mostly in Europe attaining the rank of Cpl., was a Tree Surgeon for the Town of Lexington Public Works Dept. and was an active member of the Civilian Conservation Corp.
He was a longtime member of the Fifth Street Baptist Church in Lowell and in his spare time enjoyed gardening, woodworking, coin collecting, bird watching and loved animals.
Charlie also loved to travel the US and was loved and respected by everyone that knew him.
He leaves behind his son and daughter, Charles Waldmyer Jr. and Ann Legee, his sister, Hazel Hayes, brother-in-law Owen Hayes, sister-in-law, Mary Waldmyer, daughter-in-law Beth Waldmyer, granddaughter Margaret Waldmyer as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was the brother of the late Arthur and Earle Waldmyer and son-in-law of the late Ann Waddell.
WALDMYER – Of Billerica, Aug. 12, Charles E. Waldmyer. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday in the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 11 a.m. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4- 7 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
