Obituary for Catherine A. Haynes
Catherine A. (Derochers) Haynes, age 65, beloved wife of the late Paul G. Haynes died Saturday, July 2 at the home of her son with family by her side.
She was born in Lowell, Sept. 6, 1956 a daughter of the late Alfred E. and Marie A. (Petitpas) Derochers and lived in Billerica before moving to Woburn for 19 years then Methuen for the past 21 years.
Cathy worked at Marshall's warehouse in Woburn and at Target in Methuen but she took great pleasure in being a longtime home health aide assisting others in need. In her spare time she was an avid bingo player and amazing cribbage competitor. She loved treating her family to homemade cakes and decadent desserts including her world famous whoopie pies. She looked forward to the annual Haynes camping trip every summer. The joy of her life was spending time with her large family especially the children.
She is survived by two sons, Mark Haynes and his wife Candice of Tewksbury and John Haynes; two step-daughters, Tammy Carriere and her husband Chris of Nashua and Kelly Boyd of Lowell; four brothers, Alfred Derochers of GA, John Derochers of TX, Paul Derochers of NH and George Derochers of NH; three sisters, Elizabeth Worcester of Woburn, Rose Marie Dumas of VT and Claire Williams of Woburn; four grandchildren, Penelope and Adelaide Haynes, Joshua Carriere and Nicholas Boyd as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and Godchildren. She was the sister of the late David, Walter and Edward Derochers, Marie Anne Turcotte and Jeanette White.
Cathy's Celebration of Life will be held July 30th at 10am at Genesis Community Church, 35 Olympia Ave in Woburn, MA.
