Obituary for Catherine A. Goday
BILLERICA – Catherine (Kay) A. (Volpe) Goday, age 82, beloved wife of the late William Goday died Saturday at the High Pointe Hospice house with her family by her side.
She was born in Cambridge, June 7, 1939 a daughter of the late Rocco and Katherine (Publicover) Volpe and has been a lifelong Billerica resident.
Kay had worked as a waitress for several restaurants most recently at Jimmy’s in Arlington but her true joy came in raising her family as well as spending time with, and cooking for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings and friends.
She is survived by her four children, Catherine Tello and her husband John of Tewksbury, William Goday and his wife Jean Marie of Milford, NH, Joni Hatem of Haverhill and Michael Goday of Billerica; eight siblings, Ruth Harvey of Belmont, Albert “Bill” Volpe of Pepperell, Virginia Breen of Gibbstown, NJ, Marianne Reynolds of Billerica, Edie Keenan of Billerica, Susan Vezina of Brookline, NH, Judy Gavaza of Wareham and Ann Marie Russell of Milford, NH; four granddaughters, Tiffany, Ashley, Kristin and Kimberly; six great-grandchildren, Joshua, Nathan, Colton, Aubree, Kelsey and Joey as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Wednesday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. A Graveside Service will be held at the Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica at 10 .m. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 4 – 7 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
