Carole A. (Gomes) Beals, 81, beloved wife of 55 years of Eugene “Buddy” Beals, died Monday, February 19, 2024, with her family by her side.
She was born in Somerville, MA on September 16, 1942. Carole is the daughter of the late Francis and Elizabeth (Faulkner) Gomes and lived in Somerville, MA before moving to North Billerica in 1968.
Carole worked as an Administrative Assistant for Dr. Roy Wallace DDS before working for Harvard University in their Medical Records Department. Carole retired as a Payroll Administrator from Baker Commodities in North Billerica.
Carole was an active member of St. Andrew’s Church in North Billerica where she volunteered for numerous activities as well as serving as a Eucharistic Minister.
Besides her husband, Carole is survived by her children, Christopher Beals and his wife Caroline of Chelmsford, MA., Karen Beals and her wife Patty Hebert of Amesbury, MA., Michael Beals and his wife Debra of Walpole, MA., as well as her six grandchildren, Allison, Olivia, CJ, Caitlin, Colleen and Michael. She was the sister of the late Mildred Barros, Claire Jansen and Frances Harrington.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Road, Billerica from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Andrew’s Church, 45 Talbot Avenue, North Billerica at 10:00 AM. There will be a private burial at a later date.
